Die casting is a metal casting process, which is characterized in that the molten metal is forced into the mold cavity under high pressure. The mold cavity is manufactured using two hardened tool steel molds which have been machined into a shape and are similarly operated in the process with the injection mold. Most die castings are made of non-ferrous metals, especially zinc, copper, aluminum, magnesium, lead, tin and tin-based alloys. Depending on the type of metal being cast, use a hot or cold chamber machine.

Casting equipment and metal molds represent huge capital costs, which often limit the process to mass production. The use of die-cast manufacturing parts is relatively simple, involving only four major steps, thus maintaining the incremental cost of each project. It is particularly suitable for a large number of small and medium-sized castings, which is why die casting than any other casting process to produce more castings. The die cast features a very good surface finish and size consistency.

To understand what the aluminum casting process is, we first look at the performance of aluminum. Aluminum is the richest metal element in the crust, which forms nearly 8%. It is always present as a complex, some of which are bauxite, cryolite, corundum, aluminate, crystal stone, turquoise, spinel and silicates such as kaolin, feldspar and mica. Bauxite is a ferric aluminum hydroxide, aluminum is the production of basic raw materials.

The impurities are removed from the bauxite by chemical treatment to produce alumina. The bauxite is pulverized, mixed in a caustic soda solution, and then heated under steam to dissolve the alumina under pressure. Precipitate and filter to remove impurities. After cooling, the solution was stirred to form hydrated alumina crystals. The crystals were washed and then dried in a long rotary kiln. The final product, alumina or alumina, is a very hard crystalline material with a refined sugar appearance. Four pounds of bauxite produces about 2 pounds of alumina.
